Hollywood Hills is a popular location rich in history and esthetic features. The view of Los Angeles brings residents to this hillside community that features many affluent homes as well as celebrities and motion picture industry members. The Hills is also part of the Santa Monica Mountains where the famous Hollywood Sign resides.

The Hills neighborhood is connected to neighbors like Studio City, Burbank, Universal City, Griffith Park, Los Feliz, and Hollywood. Hollywood Hills West is a similar and close neighborhood.US 101 divides The Hills which also includes the John Anson Ford Theater, Memorial Park, the Hollywood Reservoir, the Hollywood Bowl, and Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The American Film Institute also makes its home headquarters in the Hills.

Pretty much everyone has heard of the Hollywood Sign which is an American icon and landmark of Los Angeles. Once known as the Hollywoodland Sign it was built in The Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains on Mount Lee. The sign is 45 feet tall and 359 feet long; it was created in 1923 to advertise for a real estate company.

There are a variety of homes and prices here but The Hills is considered a high income area with over 70 percent white, youthful urban residents. You’ll find houses in the low 100’s and estates in the multi millions. There are also many condominiums, apartments, and lots available. Several neighborhoods make up Hollywood Hills including Beachwood Canyon, Franklin Village, and Hollywood Heights.

Some of these mansions feature sweeping staircases, cathedral ceilings, and guest houses. The chefs kitchens are fully equipped with the latest in appliances as well as room to feed the masses on a breakfast bar and nook. Luxurious master suites offer his and her bathrooms and cozy fireplaces. Outdoors the entertaining is divine with sparkling pools, enchanting pergolas, and fire pits.

Hollywood Hills has three public schools and two private facilities including the Immaculate Heart High and Middle School, Valley View Elementary School, The Neilson Academy, and The Oaks.
